Environment & Innovation
We want to make transport and logistics more environmentally friendly, and to do this we are reducing the number of truck journeys. Cargo24 stands for city logistics for the whole of Switzerland. About 10% of the kilometers are saved via Cargo24, in individual cases even 50% of the trips.
Since the foundation we stand for the bundling of shipments and elimination of truck trips.
Furthermore, many of our partners already use emission-free vehicles. In addition, we are using rail for more and more routes.
Solar panels are already installed on many of the roofs of the warehouse buildings, so we produce our own electricity.
We work together with various institutes in the field of innovation, including the Institute for Supply Chain Management at the University of St. Gallen.
We also repeatedly participate in projects to further bundle flows of goods and reduce truck journeys.
As a shareholder of Cargo Sous Terrain (CST), we support the idea of transporting goods underground on certain routes using self-driving electric vehicles.
Through the swisscleantech organization, we are committed to sustainable, economic action.
